IGSM2 Training Workshops December 15 - 18, 2003 The Department of Water Resources and the California Water and Environmental Modeling Forum (CWEMF) will hold two public training workshops on the Integrated Groundwater – Surface Water Model (IGSM2 version 2.0) in December 2003 in Sacramento, California. The first is a four-day workshop scheduled for Monday, December 15th through Thursday, December 18th, 2003, and will be open to new users of IGSM2 who did not attend the IGSM2 workshop in December 2002. The second is a one-day workshop scheduled for Friday, December 19, 2003 that is open to experienced users of IGSM2, and will cover the new features in IGSM2 version 2.0. Interested participants are asked to register for only one of the two workshops. Both workshops will consist of technical presentations and hands-on training. The workshops will be held at the DWR Training Center at 13th and R Street in Sacramento. Each attendee will be responsible for bringing a laptop computer with the workshop material installed. The workshop material will be sent out to the attendees during the first week in December 2003. Space will be limited. The four-day training session is $150 for current members of the CWEMF and $175 for non-members, payable in advance. Seating is limited and enrollment is not guaranteed until confirmed by e-mail. The non-member registration fee provides CWEMF membership until the CWEMF's Annual Meeting at Asilomar – February 24-26, 2004. The one-day workshop on Friday is free for CWEMF members and $25 for non-members. This is 50 percent of the annual CWEMF membership of $50 and (as above) provides CWEMF membership until the Annual Meeting in February 2004. Seating is also limited for this workshop and registration should be made in advance. To enroll in one of the two workshops, please contact Nigel Quinn by e-mail at nwquinn@lbl.gov. |
