CALSIM II is a Planning Simulation Model for the Central Valley Project and State Water Project system operations, developed jointly by the State Department of Water Resources and the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, Mid-pacific Region. The model is in public domain and available for use by public and private agencies modelers. The training will focus on basics of model, key modeling assumptions, model input, executing and analyzing model results for a "what-if" and "with and without" scenario. Note that knowledge of the CVP/SWP physical system, its operations criteria along with regulatory requirements are pre-requisite, and essential for effective learning.  The attendees will be required to bring their own lap-top computer for the training.
