The organizers of the 2012 Interagency Ecological Program (IEP) Workshop and the 2012 California Water and Environmental Modeling Forum (CWEMF) Annual Meeting are soliciting abstracts for poster sessions.

Both meetings will be held at the Lake Natoma Inn in Folsom, CA. The CWEMF meeting will take place April 16-18, 2012, and the IEP meeting will take place April 18-20, 2012. CWEMF and IEP will meet jointly on April 18, 2012.

Joint IEP-CWEMF poster session on Wednesday, April 18, 2012
This joint session is a new opportunity to present and discuss your work with a broader audience. Posters on all ecological and modeling topics will be considered, but work related to biological and water modeling will be particularly interesting for the broader audience. The joint poster session is open to all registered IEP and all registered CWEMF meeting participants.

Independent CWEMF and IEP poster sessions
CWEMF and IEP will each hold an independent poster session on April 17 and April 19, 2012 respectively. The CWEMF poster session on April 17 is open only to registered CWEMF meeting participants. The CWEMF posters will also be displayed during the joint session on April 18. The IEP poster session on April 19 is open only to registered IEP meeting participants.

All IEP and CWEMF poster abstract submissions must include:

1. Your choice of poster session or sessions:

• CWEMF poster session, April 17, and
• IEP-CWEMF joint poster session, April 18, and/or
• IEP poster session, April 19.

2. Author(s) name(s) with full affiliation, mailing address, phone, fax, and email address;
3. Title, in upper/lower case type using as few words as possible;
4. Text of abstract in 300 words or less;
5. In a separate paragraph and 50 words or less: Statement of relevance of your work to water and environmental policy and management.

THE DEADLINE FOR POSTER ABSTRACTS IS MARCH 19, 2012.

IEP participants should submit abstracts to Lori Smith (lori_smith@fws.gov) and CWEMF participants should submit abstracts to Elaine Archibald (cwemf@cwemf.org). Please write “poster abstract for [your choice of poster session(s)] in the subject line of your submission e-mail. If you would like to display your poster in all three poster sessions, submit your abstracts to both Lori Smith and Elaine Archibald at the same time. Please remember that in order to participate in all three poster sessions, you MUST register for both the CWEMF and IEP meetings.

More information about the CWEMF Annual Meeting (April 16 – 18, 2012) and the IEP Workshop (April 18 – 20, 2012) will be posted on the websites as information becomes available. Registration for both events will begin no later than mid-March 2012.
